Starting July 1st Vox et Liber will be seeking short stories by new and established authors. Stories will be selected for volume 1 which will be published digitally in October. Exact date to be announced.
Theme: Marginalized Voices in Horror
Includes but is not limited to stories about or centered around LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, people with mental illness, neurodivergent, and people with disabilities. We are looking for Own Voices fiction only. Own Voices means authors from marginalized or under-represented groups writing about their own experience/perspectives, rather than authors writing these stories who do not belong to that group.
Example of Own Voice Fiction: Sally is a transwoman of color. Sally writes about a transwoman of color and friends who have to deal with a murderous hive of vampires hell-bent on destroying their small town.
We are looking for horror stories that include a supernatural aspect to them only. The creepier, the scarier, the better.
Word Count: 2,500-5,000 words
